“I’m David!”
I’d screamed at finding myself no longer alone, falling off the cot they’d seen fit to give me. “How did you get in here?”
He’d shrugged and pointed at a small hole at the bottom of the wall. “I don’t think these cells were made for kids.” Apparently not, I’d thought dryly. My sarcasm had reached epic proportions during my weeks of imprisonment. It didn’t help that I was accustomed to far better treatment in general.
