Shifting Tides is Live on Kindle!

I am the Queen of Procrastination! I absolutely uploaded this to KDP 1 day and 6 hours before the Amazon deadline (on a four month pre-order no less)…

But never mind that, it’s here. And for a while there, it felt like I would never be able to manage it in time. I was weirdly resistant to writing it, the book was far longer than the rest of my books, and I went through a bit of time in the middle there where I just couldn’t seem to get myself to sit at my computer to work on it. Seriously, sometimes it feels like trying to get my brain to focus is like wrestling cats. At the end there, I was editing every day including weekends and even took 4 days off from my day job for that final push before publication.

The book itself feels a little different to me as the female main character is only nineteen and an artist. It has a lot of New Adult vibes to it because of that, which isn’t something I’ve played with before. And yet, there’s still plenty of action and intrigue, although I totally added some more during the editing process because I felt like it went through a dry spell in the middle there…

The FMC is also trans, which is an identity I’ve played around with in my books before, but this is the first time I’ve given the person the protagonist role.

Anyway, I can feel the clocking ticking away telling me my day job is looming, so until next time…
