Progress Report: May 2020 #amwriting

I feel like I’ve been doing the same thing again, where I set my goals based on what I want to do and not what I need to do. Admittedly, I’m writing a novella this time, so none of the steps should take as long, which does not excuse my slow progress, but it does affect my sense of urgency.

Last month, I talked about needing to develop a structure that can handle hiccups better, which I think I have. I started using that mid-May, and it has been working pretty well so far (but not perfectly yet).

It shouldn’t take me more than 2-3 days to finish writing May’s Nightmare for the boxed set, and while I’ll be using Scrivener this time for Draft 2 (cough… learning curve), that shouldn’t take me more than a week, which should give me most of the month to work on Draft 3, then if I’m lucky, all of July for Draft 4.

God, September is going to sneak up on me so fast…
