seizeOh, I’ve been reading so much this last week, largely because I really didn’t want to write for NaNoWriMo.  Been enjoying some really good stories on Wattpad.  Fortunately, I’m about 10k ahead on NaNo, so I can afford a little time wasting.  Enjoy this next eight…

Sir Lionel walked beside his laden horse, one hand on the reins, the other gently touching Amara, ensuring she not take a tumble from the horse’s back.  David sat in front of her, holding her arms around his middle.

The going was slow, certainly slower than he’d been traveling.  He hadn’t been going anywhere of any great importance, simply traveling to visit an old friend.  Ensuring the safety of the two seemed far more important, however, than surprising a childhood friend he hadn’t seem in five long years.  Especially when Amara engendered such protective feelings in his, constricting his heart with the need of it.

I woke to the feel of David’s solid warmth in my arms, a single thought flaring to life, a single need.  What direction are we going?

Are you enjoying Seize?

Which way indeed? (Part of me expects his old friend to be the person they just escaped from.)

  2. I love this story, totally intrigued by whatever Amara’s backstory is going to be. I’m really hooked… Another excellent excerpt!

Oh boy, excellent job at taking me from a calm relaxed walk to a heart pounding panic! This is good.

  4. Great snippet. I want to know where they’re heading. Intrigued!

Great 8…I’m definitely intrigued by where they are going as well…

  6. Nice build-up! I was wondering if I’ve just watched too many horror movies, or if they had been running from Sir Lionel’s friend.

  7. Nice excerpt. I wonder who they’re running from.

  8. I take it she’s been more than half asleep on the horse and just waked up?

  9. It’s nice that they don’t have to run anymore.

Oh, you so know you want to...
